  14. Oops ! There is one little error, so I correct my message.

  16. I have some troubles with my modem (which is a Rockwell based modem, 
  17. precisely an Alto 28800 internal) :

  19. + When I do ATI3, which gives information about the ROM checksum, it returns 
  20. ERROR. Is this normal ? What could be the effect ?

  22. + When I connect using the compression protocol V42bis, I cannot hang up
  23. in less than 30 seconds (which is a problem when you wait a call back).

  25. + When I connect using the compression protocol MNP5, I have got since recently
  26. (precisely after doing some hacks in Win95 network configuration) errors flowing
  27. saying (under Trumpet Winsocket) [Error Frames = 3] (I am not sure that it's the
  28. exact semantic).
  29. Is it due to my modem or to the remote modem ?
